How to organize a company shuttle

A useful shuttle starts with a map of actual demand, not a vehicle count. This sequence helps avoid long routes and poorly placed stops.

01

Map demand

Gather sites, arrival and departure times, working days and residential areas. Group home locations by area rather than sharing individual addresses broadly.

  • Separate regular shifts from variable hours.
  • Identify areas that can share a pickup point.
  • Note difficult access and safety constraints.
02

Compare route options

For each option, consider travel time, walking distance to stops, frequency and required capacity. The shortest route is not always the most useful.

03

Prepare the launch

Publish final stops and times, name an operational contact and collect feedback. Use it to adjust stops and schedules.

Prepare: sites, schedules, residential areas, volumes by shift and access constraints.
