A neighborhood alone does not define a trip. The exact destination, time and journey conditions shape the discussion. Clarify these before boarding.

Describe the whole journey

Give an exact pickup point and destination. Mention any stop or detour before discussing the fare. A vague drop-off point can mean different things to each person.

  • Specify the neighborhood and final stop.
  • Mention large luggage or planned stops.
  • Say whether you want to use a toll road.

Compare like with like

When comparing offers, check that they cover the same journey. Ask whether waiting, a detour or a toll is included. A figure on its own does not guarantee the final amount.

Confirm before departure

Repeat the agreed fare, destination and any special conditions. If something is unclear, settle it before boarding.

What Weego is preparing

At launch, Weego plans to let passengers suggest a fare and negotiate with a driver on the app. This feature is not yet open in Dakar.

A useful fare is tied to a defined journey and an agreement understood by both sides, not a generic figure from another trip.
